SAN DIEGO – NuVasive Shareowners recently raised over $19,000 for the NuVasive Spine Foundation through grass roots fundraising efforts and the generous contributions of various sponsors.
Shareowners participated in the second annual “NUVA Grand Prix” on May 2nd, 2013 that included derby car races, a Shareowner brewed beer garden and international food booths – all to raise money for the Foundation.
The money raised will go directly towards covering expensive hospital fees for patients, purchasing essential O.R. equipment, and creating a sustainable spine treatment program at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. Kenyatta National Hospital, founded in 1901, is one of the oldest hospitals in Kenya and where the Foundation is building a sustainable spine program.
Together as a community, we can greatly improve the livelihood of hundreds of patients in need and give them a second chance at life.
